Janki began practicing yoga after being inspired by her grandfather’s disciplined routine of morning yoga and meditation. She has experienced various types of yoga including Yin, Ashtanga, Hatha and Chair yoga but she has a favourite: Vinyasa. She completed her 200hr Teacher training at the Yoga Vine, Perth under great senior teachers, Kate Taylor and Donna Buchanan.
One of her highlights in her yoga journey was at the Himalayan Yoga Academy (Kathmandu, Nepal) where Swami Yog Subodh offered his insight into a yogic way of life. Janki continues to undertake professional development in this space to further her knowledge on the anatomy of the body and the neuroscience changes that take place when yoga and meditation are practiced.
Come and join her for a class, as she guides you through a practice which synchronises breath with movement. She loves to teach with a focus on correct technique and alignment, with notes of stability. She creates an ambience of light-heartedness and joy whilst weaving breath work to allow her students to experience mindfulness, a sense of calmness and mental nourishment.
