Rob Cannella is experienced in interventions for many issues affecting our youth and children. He specialises in obesity and sedentary behaviours, body dysmorphia, depression, and anxiety as well as social anxieties and difficulties.
Rob’s journey began when he first studied personal training when he was 18 years of age. Thirty years on, and with 16 years of experience as a Mental Health Counsellor, Rob has developed a keen understanding of those aged 9 to 17.
The B Mind Fit Method incorporates scientifically supported psychological techniques of behavioural change and implements them alongside tailored programmes that may include physical activity, play-style therapies and socialisation through both digital and tabletop gaming. This methodology has proven to be successful in making positive life changes in those who suffer from life difficulties and have lost confidence. It is literally life changing. I mean, who doesn’t want to run around, play games and be young!
“I know and understand firsthand what it means to have health challenges. The mental rollercoaster is exactly what is not being addressed by training alone. That is why I incorporated models of counselling and psychology with modalities of physical activity to develop the ‘B Mind Fit Method’.”
Rob is very excited about the opportunities to work with younger people at the Warwick Psychological Services rooms. The support surrounding him will give him the best possible opportunity to provide the best possible service to his clients.
